"Managing my past"

This message teaches us why we must let go of our past successes, emotional hurts, and personal mistakes in order to become what God meant for us.

Are you managing your future so that you are navigating through it in the way that you want it to be or are you just reacting to the circumstances of life that happen? Learn how to exercise some control over what happens in your future.

Are you using your time to do what God made you to do? Learn how to invest your time rather than just spending time.

Discover and live by God's priorities. Slow the pace of your life and learn to manage your emotional and spiritual life. When you are drained emotionally, learn how to rest yourself physically, refresh yourself spiritually and replenish yourself emotionally.

Perhaps the most important point of this message is that the truth about a matter is what God says and not what you think. Just because you think or feel something doesn't make it true. Learn to see life through different glasses because to truly believe in Jesus changes your outlook on everything. You will never "do life" the same.

God created us to grow in many ways; physically, mentally, emotionally, professionally, and relationally to name a few. Most of all, God created us to grow spiritually. God wants more and more for Him to be the center of your life. Learn that growing Christians want to be the blessing rather than to be blessed.

This message should be required listening for all couples who are considering marriage. For that matter, all married couples should listen to this message at least annually. Learn how you can have an awesome relationship with the mate that God gave you.

God is not as concerned about what we do or have done for a living as he is about what we have done with our lives. This message will help you discover the dream that God had for your life.

"Managing my hurts"

In this "cursed" world, life is hard. This isn't heaven. But the good news is that if you walk with God, he will turn bad into good. In this message, you will learn to recognize God's blessings and grace even in bad situations.

"Managing my mission"

Your judgment and reward in heaven will be determined by what you do with what God has placed in your hands. All that we are and all that we have was given to us by God and he wants us to be good stewards of it; to give some of it back by sharing it with others and using it to serve others.

In this first installment of the series, Dr. Ramsey explains a basic premise using circles to represent the various relationship boundaries that a healthy Christian should maintain in his or her life. He also gives us an overview of the following nine messages in the series.

In the second installment of the series, Dr. Ramsey equates "life in us" to our identity, value, purpose and fulfillment. We learn that we don't have life in ourselves as standard equipment. We get life only by having God, and only God, inside our personal circle. We can't get life from any other person, thing or activity.

In this message, we learn that the best life we can experience is the one we were made for. Our marriage, parenting, and job are just things we do. Our "stuff" is just things that we have. If we weren't enough without them, we won't be enough with them. To enjoy the life we were made for, we must place knowing and loving God as the top priority in our lives, trust God for our identity, value, purpose and fulfillment, and obey what we know God wants us to do with our lives.

In this message, we learn that God didn't design marriage to make us happy but rather to allow the marriage partners to help each other to become holy. We all long to be known perfectly and loved perfectly, but we can never find that in marriage because only God can know and love us perfectly. We were not made for our mate. We were made for our maker.

In this message, we learn that we should parent just as the only perfect parent (God) does for all of his children (all of mankind). Dr. Ramsey describes the eight characteristics of God as a parent.

In this message, we learn that there are only three things which parents must provide their children; food, shelter, and love. All too often parents try to buy the love of their children by giving them everything they desire. Children need your presence, not your presents.

In this message, we learn that as children become adults, and especially with "unhealthy" or elderly parents, the roles of parents and children often reverse. Dr. Ramsey teaches us that as adult children,  we have the same responsibilities toward our parents as our parents previously had toward us. Specifically, that we owe them food, shelter and love. This message will help you cope with that difficult role reversal.

In this message, Dr. Ramsey teaches us that God made us for relationship first with Him, but also with others. However, we learn that it a form of idolatry when we look for life in others rather than in Him. We also learn that while we may be responsible to others, we are not responsible for them.

This message is directed to singles who have never married, are now divorced, or whose spouse has died. Dr. Ramsey teaches us that loneliness is a part of the human condition and not the result if being single. Learn that you should use dating to discover who the other person is. You should never be willing to compromise your moral standards in order to continue a relationship.

As the title implies, this message completes the Boundaries Series. Dr. Ramsey does a phenomenal job of summarizing the complete series an pulling together the individual messages and showing how they all revolve around a central theme.
